Hi all, first post so if this is done wrong please let me know!
My engine: PD170 BMN (2008) 65k on the clock
My EGT sensor on bank 1 failed (before turbo?) error code P0546 and I'm looking to replace this myself, I just want to confirm that access to this is from underneath the engine?
Secondly, I assume my DPF light has come on after 2 days of driving with this error code due to it being unable to regenerate. I'm a little worried as the new sensor probably wont arrive until tuesday at the latest and I need my car for work (I'll probably do about 200 miles before i replace the sensor). Will driving within dpf regen specs (higher rpm for 20 mins) help my situation currently or am I going to get a massively clogged dpf?
I have a VCDS coming on monday, and I will be cleaning the EGT sensor today to see if that will alleviate the problem.
I do about 420 miles / week minimum, an hour commute each way, about half of which is motorway based.
Any advice on any of the above greatly appreciated!
