Hi sorry if a thread for this already exists I’m new to the forum and couldn’t find one. I am picking up a 2009 s3 facelift at the weekend and was wondering what adapter is needed to plug an aux into the headunit, it’s the Audi sat nav plus if that’s any help, cheers

On that car does it not already have the aux plug socket by the handbrake?

I have the S3 facelift and it should have been standard , only thing I will say is you want to check it has been activated.

Not all have the auxin, check & if not, I can fit one for you or the AMI system.

Whatsapp me if of interest.

yep it had the aux already in, cheers guys

Sorry for the likely silly question but how do I activate the aux port? I’ve plugged my phone into it but can’t see an aux in option on the headunit- do I need to code it in VAG com or?

Scroll across to the media section on the sat nav then click on input and change it to Aux... I think that's the correct sequence

Under the source aux is not listed, there is only cd and ami which says it is initialising

On mine I don’t have the ami but if I press the media button I get sad card 1, then as card 2 then a third press brings it to aux. Maybe with the ami it’s different. Maybe it’s a matter of getting it coded in with BCD’s if it’s not showing up.

Ahh yeah I can’t see it, I’ll give coding it a go cheers

Check your coding and compare to what's in the coding helper box , if not there adjust coding and come out off Vcd's then hard rest your rnse ( Google it ) then once done go to source and you should find Aux only if it is all wired in correctly on back off H U , if not then you need to Google what wires to move . And then do the coding hard reset etc
