Okay so I recently installed a new induction kit and now I've noticed when I lift off the revs are holding and dropping off a lot slower than they used to. And a few instances the revs seem to increase momentarily. Anyone encountered this before? I also have a custom stage 1 map that was done before the new intake, could be something?

Hi ya, sorry you’re still having bother with this. Just for the record - all connections were checked and you found, no leaks. You also checked the vacuum hose onto the inlet and again, no leaks.

Having mentioned a ‘custom’ remap, how was at his completed? How custom are we talking? What was your air set up at that time?

Logically thinking about this...Possibly, you could be right when mentioning the map... you’ve exhausted every other possibility - basically everything was fine before the ram air was installed... not one other thing has been changed including fuel type or any additives?... just the ram air induction kit?... so that being the case; possibly the map doesn’t like the new air / fuel mixture and is over compensating??

Look forward to your reply on this buddy, hoping we get this sorted!

Yup, no leaks anywhere. It is a custom unicorn stage 1 map. Just had a turbo elbow at the time and now I've got the new ram air kit installed. Like you say maybe something weird going on with the air/fuel mix and map.

As long as all hardware has been checked over, the map needing adjusted, would be the only thing I could think of.

Hopefully either someone else on here has the answer or it’s a trip back to the ‘map man’ to see what’s what.

Just bumping this thread because it's still happening and I haven't solved it yet!

Was the car mapped with the “ram air” induction kit? If not revert back to the original intake that was on the car when mapped and see if the problem persists.

I’m sure @Rick @ Unicorn Motor Dev. will be able to assist if this is a new problem that your bringing to his attention.

Is your car DSG and has the box been mapped as well ?

It wasn't mapped with the induction kit so I'm thinking that's most likely the issue. It is quite annoying so I will have to revert to stock airbox if I can't find a solution.

Yeah DSG but didn't get that mapped at the time.
