Indicator problem

Yesterday morning on the way to work i indicated to turn left & they were flashing twice normal speed, no problem bulb gone, changed bulb & all good, until i went home, new bulb again this morning & sprayed all contacts including the multi plug on the back of the unit, all good and working again until i drive home, same problem.
2004 A4 1.9 tdi Avant.

Is it the type of bulb?Maybe try a different make or see if one from another point works in this holder.Quality probably varies and some cars are fussier than others

Had the light unit in and out like a fiddlers elbow today, the bulb is fine, think i have found the problem, the locking tab on the multi plug is missing so it does not hold on that tight, i know have some packing in behind it wedging it tight and so far so good.
