Headlight switch upgrade

Hello all

Proud owner of my new noggy blue S3. I saw a thread a while back about changing the headlight switch and running daytime lights.
I’ve been through the stickies and the search field, can’t find the upgrade which was done...

Can someone please help me?

I think from memory the headlight switch mod wasn't daytime running lights but was for auto headlights.

Maybe, still can’t locate via the search...

Can the switch be upgraded to a newer one?

This is a picture from a Facebook site that some one had done the auto headlight switch mod. The switch was from eBay about £25 for the switch and then a wee bit of cutting of the holder.
