I installed a Whiteline Rear Swaybar and end links in my S3 8V Sportback over the weekend. It made a massive difference in the balance and feel of the car and highly recommend it, especially if you want to get it to handle better without affecting ride quality (like happens with lowering). Install was easy enough for anyone to do on their own with basic tool. Im looking forward to getting the front swaybar in to really flatten it out.

Is there any reason you chose the white line anti roll bar? I’ve been looking at these for a while and there’s quite a few available some at 22mm and 24mm with/without adjustable ARB links.
I don’t want to lower mine as I think the ride height is just right for me as I live near massive speedramps/road humps and any lower they will scrap the car. I can’t even get into my folks drive at the moment with factory height.
The main thing I want to achieve is reducing understeer and I think the ARB can at least help without reducing too much in the comfort side.
Not sure about the front as I’ve read that subframe needs to come out and if not refitted properly can cause all sorts of issues like crabbing.

I'd stick with rear only. You want plenty of give at the front so your tyres keep a nice contact patch on the road.

I have had Whiteline swaybars on a few car and have always been happy with their fitment and build quality so I ordered their full Grip Kit if front and rear swaybars, end links and sports springs. The rear bar is the easiest part to fit so I did it first. The 24mm bar is significantly thicker than the stock one as you can see in the video. If you are only going to do the rear swaybar then perhaps you should look at their 22mm option. It would be more balanced with the stock front bar but you will definitely want to do the end links as well. The stock ones are just plastic that will bend and flex with a stiffer bar, reducing its effectiveness.

I still have to install the springs and front swaybar. I will do the 034motorsport Front Subframe Locking Collar Upgrade Kit the same time as the front bar to get some of that slop from the front end and hopefully sharpen up the steering.

How thick is the standard bar?
Would the 22mm be much of an upgrade to the stock s3 bar?

The the thickness of the stock rear swaybar on my 2018 S3 8v Sportback is 18mm so the Whiteline 22mm is a substantial upgrade every on its soft setting.

Gonna have to save some pennies for the bar now.
The quality and finish looks good.
