Fault code after engine swap P0243 P2425 P0652 P0183 P1495 P0322

Hi all
Hoping someone out there can help, have done an engine swap on an Audi a3 16v TDI BKD. The car started after the swap but is generating the following fault code below. After clearing the codes came straight back have checked the wiring seems all OK also used the original wiring loom from the old engine.

6 Faults Found:
16706 - Engine Speed Sensor (G28)
P0322 - 000 - No Signal

17036 - Sensor Reference Voltage B
P0652 - 000 - Too Low

17903 - Switch-Over Valve for EGR Cooler (N345)
P1495 - 000 - Open or Short to Ground

16627 - Solenoid Valve for Boost Pressure Control (N75)
P0243 - 000 - Malfunction


16567 - Fuel Temp. Sensor A (G81)
P0183 - 000 - Open or Short to Plus


19558 - Motor for Intake Manifold Flap (V157)
P3102 - 000 - No Signal

Possible Symptoms
  • Hard Shudder when turning OFF the Engine
Possible Causes
  • Fuse(s) faulty
  • Wiring and/or Connector(s) from/to Intake Manifold Flap Motor (V157) faulty
  • Intake Manifold Flap Motor (V157) faulty
Possible Solutions
  • Check Fuse(s)
  • Check Wiring and/or Connector(s) from/to Intake Manifold Flap Motor (V157)
  • Check/Replace Intake Manifold Flap Motor (V157)
    • Perform Output Test
If you’re sure the wiring is good, check the fuse. If thats fine then there is a fault on the components.

If you’ve swapped none over from the old unit it could be a load of faulty components.

If you still have the old engine try swapping a few out to see if the faults clear.
 
Thanks for the reply, have already checked the fuses and changed over the boost pressure controller from the old engine but still getting the same fault codes.
 
You have to find the root cause as one issue could cause a host of other codes.

Someone with more knowledge than me may be able to tell you if there were any subtle differences between different revisions of the same engine.
 
Sounds like you might be right that it is one issue causing all the faults but where.
 
I've had this before before, check under or around the actual engine ECU as they used to hide a fuse on the A4 b4 that powered all the engine sensors. It was beneath the ECU inside the waterproof box and was 10 or 15A. Mine was blown when a previous owner swapped an engine and nicked a single wire on the harness. Check any of these sensors actually have 12v going to one wire on each sensor as most will, and if not your looking for a blown ECU fuse. They usually protect the ECU inputs and outputs with fuses.
