Hi all,
Please can I ask where best to get some keys to take this Concert radio out? I have bought a new head unit but the garage who will be fitting it says he needs to know what radio it is before he gets the wiring loom / connection for my new Alpine one so I thought instead of paying him to take it out, I would do it myself and send him the photos?
Please help if you can....
Cheers.

Don’t get the loom from halfords. You can pick the autoleads one up on amazon for about £12.

You want the pc9-401 for a half amplified car.

Thank you for this. Please can I ask a silly question - how sure are you? My local 'audio specialist' was adamant that he wouldn't be able to tell which loom was needed until he seen the back of the radio / what is in there at the moment? He said the loom could cost between "19 and £90? Hmmm.

Sorry, I have to ask do you own an 8p or 8l?

As for your audio guy, a full bose adaptor is only £20ish on Amazon. I bet he’s adding his mark up.

Your system will either be full/half amplified or none. Once you know that then you’ll know which adapter you’ll need.

The radio keys are standard across the entire VAG. Just google for a set of VW radio keys and any should fit.

8P, as noticed by you sharp eyed people!
Thanks for this, I have just bought some.
Question - how will I know if it is half/full or none?

By the amount of speaker wires in the loom.

Plus look behind the left panel in the boot an if there’s a sub, tour half amped.

Full amp was for Bose.
