Bought last night an A3 sport for the wife and when switching the lights on theres a constant noise coming from the dash or speakers hard to tell, when the switch is off and car is on, it has what looks like DRL or low lights on ,when you switch to position 1 all lights switch off and if you switch to position 2 all lights switch on again all, all this while having the noise.
What could it be?

Also car has a sat nav installed but was never activated contacted audi portadown and they couldnt tell me how much to activate, any suggestions?

Thank you

Not sure on lights but to activate nav you would need audi to hook it up to Germany to get it activated, cost around £500/550. You will get an SD card with the maps on with this too.

could the noise be coming from the leveling motors in the headlights ?
Its a constant noise could be, how do you check if a car has auto lights or not? Something tells me it has but thwy changed the switch but i could be wrong

if you get out of car and listen to the headlights themselves you would hear the motors if the were trying to adjust.

standard lights will have a manual adjuster for height.

xenon lights have an automatic height adjuster. They should dip up and down when you 1st switch them on.

when you say auto lights do you mean they come on automatically or adjust height automatically?
