ENABLE Passenger Airbag Light with VCDS

Hi all,

I’ve recently picked up a 2010 A3 and I’m having fun trying to add in as many ‘missing’ features that I can. I’ve successfully added TPMS (thanks to this forum and a fortunate ABS module) and am getting around to installing the buttons on the centre console. While doing all of this, I noticed a dead wire taped up under the stereo, and discovered it was the blue Passenger Airbag Off light connection. There was no light installed, so I picked one up from the dealership and plugged it in. Now my airbag warning light comes on in the dash, and the error code is for the Passenger Airbag light. Every time I clear it in VCDS it comes right back. I’m hoping that this can be fixed and enabled with some quick coding...

Does anyone know what bits/settings need to be changed?

I would think it is in Adaptation as i had to reset my drivers airbag light after removing bag from my steering wheel

Nah, this one's my own stupidity/lack of knowledge on the current setup of my car. My passenger seat doesn't have a bladder inside it to detect occupancy, so this feature isn't supported on my 8P. The wiring loom is there, which I found and bought a factory dash light for, but I would need to upgrade my seats to actually see this work, and probably do some VCDS coding. Oh well.
