Hi guys. I was wondering if anyone could help me out. I recently brought an Audi A3 8p 2.0 TDI Quattro. I’ve noticed that when i tap the breaks they are very harsh and responsive and great !! Its when i slam or break heavier than usual, the car doesnt seem to stop, especially when i break hard at higher speeds (50 plus). Also when i am accelerating quickly and then harsh break the car will not stop. There is defiantly something wrong but i just have no clue what it is. Any ideas guys, it would be a great help thanks!!

Just to let you guys know i have checked the break fluid it is all fine. I have pleanty of pad left, the discs from what i can tell are as they should be.

When I read the title I thought you were breaking it for parts.
No idea about the braking problem, sorry.

Sounds like a faulty brake servo or maybe the vacuum feed pipe loose or damaged. Have these checked out.

Did you have a VAG product before this? ....

I've noticed that my breaks are highly sensitive but once your hauling they don't always seem to want to stop as well .... I think the stock brakes just aren't up to the duty of high speed braking ....

Although you could actually have an issue ....

Same as , I was hoping to see some parts going cheap.
Quite a bid of bad spelling on here

Do you know how old the pads are? I had a car that did this after I had ****** the pads. They bit well going slow but didn't perform well at speed or when hot. Just an idea for you. Might also be worth a brake fluid change if that has not been done for a while.
