How does the RS3 magnetic ride work?
I know how the technology works but not sure how audi implement it.
Does it constantly adjust the shocks based on speed and cornering inertia or is it just the 2 settings, soft in comfort and firm In dynamic.
I’m guessing it must have some speed adjustments as the damping over car park speed bumps is stupidly under damped, the car bounces like a pogo stick after the bump.
If the shocks are adjusted on the fly through sensors and ECU of some sort, can this be reprogrammed...tuned.
A couple of characteristics I have noticed. If you hit a speed bump with just one side of the car, it is reasonably smooth and u can hit it a lot harder without upsetting the car. Also the car is feels very smooth going through a corner....providing no bumps, more so then other cars I’ve had.
