Hi guys sorry I keep asking silly questions that have probably been answered a thousand times.
I have bought a milltek tbe and a amd air Induction kit with uprated clutch on the way. what stage Remap would you guys recommend with just these few mods as I don't want to go crazy just yet as I'm happy with the performance as it is. Just want something a little more

Your current mods will support Stg2 but if you can stretch to an updated hpfp and go straight to Stg2+ that would be ideal. You’ll go 2+ anyway (you may just not realise it at the moment) so it would save the remapping fee (from 2 >2+). If you get Autotech hpfp internals, the likes of RTech for this as part of the meowing service.

I'm on a budget right now but very eager to get my exhaust and induction fitted but recommended a Remap is needed. Right now can't afford to got to 2+ as I was told by a friend and seen on here that a 2+ tune need not only an uprated fuel pump but something like rs4 injectors and then the cost of the 2+remap. I think I will give rtech a ring tomorrow and get an idea of prices and options to suit my budget. Thank you for your reply though defo helped

Standard S3 injectors are perfect. But yes, sorry you need the rs4 fuel pressure relief valve - £45 from memory.

Do you know of a rough cost if I went to rtech with my car fitted with the full exhaust and induction kit and asked them to supply and fit the uprated fuel pump with injectors and put the 2+ remap on it??

I’m not sure sorry - I had other stuff done at the same time but I think it’s all on their site (the mapping that is, possibly not the supply of the hpfp). As mentioned, you don’t need injectors - just the RS4 pressure relief valve.

Thanks very much mate I have already orderd the rs4 valve just now looking at the fuel pump witch I will get at the end of the month. I see sense in what your saying about going straight to 2+ I will just have to store my parts for another untill I can get it booked in for the 2+ tune. Thanks for advice mate

whats all this about needing an RS4 fprv ?

Some tuners do not specify it but others like RTech do advise it is fitted. With my S3 at APR 2+ the original tuner said not to bother but after speaking to Mark Ash at Awesome he suggested to have it done to make sure that there was no restriction.

Is this on the pump ? I wonder if its an upgrade needed is fitting autotech internals but is already there on a Loba ?

Hi @paddy - it’s under the inlet manifold, to the left (and down a bit) from the hpfp. At £45 it’s worth fitting to ensure the std one doesn’t crack under pressure.

If you are thinking about if the valve is on the pump you might be referring to the fuel inlet drill out modification where the inlet hole on the brass fitting is drilled out to 5mm. So you would do this if fitting the auto tech internals as the main body of the pump is still standard whereas the Loba is predrilled.

As said above, the RS4 valve is not expensive but fitting it is very difficult without the correct tools.

I'd agree with above - fit the indiction and exhaust now it will be ok as is but save up and then go Stage2+ in one hit and thoroughly recommend R-Tech.
I would suggest get R-Tech to fit the RS4 PRV and HPFP kit when they have the car in to do the map. They are both in the same area and the PRV is a PIA to fit whereas they do them regularly. Also strongly recommended to fit a new pump cam bucket (~£30) and inspect it regularly as they can wear badly (see R-Tech web site or forum). plus may be advisable to put a new diverter valve on if not latest rev.

I have Revo intake, Miltek TBE, RS4 PRV, Autotech HPFP Stage2+ by R-Tech and its very nice.

I think people are losing sight of this guys needs.
He is on a budget, is happy with performance but would like a little more.
His car is already set up for Stg1 and if he just gets an APR stg1 map it will solve his problems.
If at a later date he wants to splash out on a HPFP all the bits he can and a map upgrade will be just £100
Somewhere like QST will do it all while you wait......sorted

you can run a aftermarket turbo back and intake without a remap mate

Yes this is true but if you get a light on the dash from the exhaust you will not get through an MOT

Isn't the light if you have a decat? Is that what is he running?

Mines been fine for a couple of months with bcs turbo back and revo intake no map

Exactly I just to bring the best out of the small mods iv got so cat back non res milltek with amd Induction and a stage 1 will do me fine and keep me happy while I slowly buy other bits like the sports cat and upgraded fuel pump then cost of fitting and getting the stage 2+ Remap
