I have a PFL 2015 RS3 and wondering if anyone else noticed how loud the turbo spooling at 2000rpm is? Is it just me or?

Don't ever recall hearing anything like you're describing, even after the remap turned the boost up. Is it still in warranty? Get it into Audi to be sure.

With the windows down I can hear the turbo working but wouldn’t call it noticeable.
I hear a little hiss noise which is perfectly normal but this can only be heard when in a built up area so bounces back at you.

I think its me being over sensitive. Its just a lil hiss like you described Marshy. Just before it fully kicks in! I do live in a city so yer valid points!

I know the sound you mean, as you say it does change as boost increases.
Coming from a MK7 Golf R the turbo noise is identical in my RS3.
Sounds as if yours is normal too

I had a Golf R MK7 too and thinking about it. It did make the same noise. I can worry no more haha. Cheers Marshy

Mine has been bad over the last couple of weeks, went out with an Audi tech and they wanted it “urgently”.

But they also wanted permission to drive it as hard and fast for as long as they needed to, needless to say.. it hasn’t gone in. Coming from the same person who revved the nuts off of it in the workshop with a stone cold engine when I had the exhaust rattle which happened at idle.

It’s still bugging me, I’m pretty sure it’s not 100% but I’ve decided to wait until the car knows there is a problem. Any overboost, underboost etc it would flag up.. car pulls like a train, might just be sensitive ears.

I would be in the same boat mate. Mines just come out of warranty so I have a local Audi/Vw specialist who will have a look at it when they change my oil. Think my spool is normal.
Seems like the Facelift RS3 have had some issues from what I've seen on the forum.
