Found coolant leak! Need info on part

Noticed my coolant level dropped a bit so I decided to investigate and found this part is the problem, I assume its a sensor but that's a guess. If anyone has any information on how to fix this or if I should replace the part that would be fantastic. I have attempted to push it back in with no success , I would poke around some more myself but don't want to flush the coolant without knowing if it's fixable!

That part is the Coolant Temperature sensor. Either get a new one from Audi using the part request on here or they're less than £20 from most auto spares places. It should come with a new O ring and plastic holding clip. It could be leaking due to a broken holding clip or failed O ring. Either way, you may as well replace the sensor with it as it all comes together. Not a difficult job.
