I just retuned from a drive and collect leaking and warning appeared do not drive.

Audo assist called and said a stone hit intercooler and is leaking.

Any idea what this will cost me or will Audi replace under warranty, under the fit for purpose .

Will call Audi in morning.

Or if stupid money can I take elsewhere for repair.

Any one else had this happen to them . Car 2017 A5 Cab 2.oTDI

Thanks

Think this happened to a guy on the A3 8V section, remember seeing something similar on there...may be worth a search!

Why would it be a warranty claim under 'unfit for purpose' it's accidental damage, if a Deer ran out and wrote the front of your car off would you expect them to repair that for free as well as 'unfit for purpose'

Expect a big bill and it's your responsibility to pay for it, not Audi.

I'd expect no to be covered by Warranty t as it's not a result of the Engine or surrounding Warranty parts that have caused the issue... unless you can prove otherwise.

Just don't get your pants pulled down with the costs of a replacement.

I’d agree with this.

Unfortunate situation to be in so I’d be looking for your local independent and just get them to replace with a genuine part to maintain your warranty.
