Went out this morning and during a gentle drive in eco ( warming the oil ) I pulled away from some lights . I got to 30 and then there was nothing . Car was still in gear but no power or revs so had to roll luckily into a lay by and turn the car off and then back in and it was fine .
Once on the motorway cruising at 70 there was a judder . I don’t know if it’s me being paranoid now but whilst idling in neutral there seems to quite a bit of vibration coming through the car. Long winded I know ,never had an S - Tronic befor!!

Whilst in eco if you take your foot off of the accelerator the car will coast, it will immediately pick up a gear if you brake, touch the paddles/stick or accelerator though.

I’ve never experience a judder, sounds like something is up unfortunately, call Audi assist and run them through your experience.

What you describe has never happened with my car and does not sound normal. Call Audi Assist. This sounds potentially unsafe suddenly having no power.

It’s normally fine after coasting in eco - foot down and it picks up , it just wouldn’t do anything, tried flicking it back into drive and although it showed it was in drive it still wouldn’t move . Luckily it was a quiet road and I wasn’t over taking

I will probably call them tommorrow and see what they think . I brought it 5 months old with 3500 on the clock so it had done a miles ,enough to be well run in anyway . Do you feel any vibration whilst idling?

No vibration whilst idling. S-tronic can be a bit jerky before the oil warms up especially in dynamic but other than that it goes really well.

Cheers for the link, I have had a couple of s-tronics and there is definitely an art to getting the best out of them. The extra cog in the FL certainly helps and I think the software has been refined a little , but the basics in the article still seem pretty spot on.
