Audi A3 Driver door won’t opened when locked

i got a 2008 Audi A3, all was fine when suddenly the drivers door didn’t open after I unlocked it. I then tried inserting the key and it will not turn at all. All the other doors open find using the fob. Once I unlock the door from the inside, the drivers door works as normal. Any ideas on what this could be?

I read the title and it says door don't open when locked. I just giggled to myself thinking isn't that the point?
