Professionaly fitted ?

What's so complicated about tucking a wire and adding a fuse tap ?

Some insurance companies now require cameras to be professionally fitted in order to guarantee functionality and safety.

How much would you charge to fit the Thinkware F800 pro,not sure to go with 1 or2 cameras?

Guess they get a back hander..
Personally I am all for people having a go themselves, but I can understand where the insurance companies are coming from. Tucking cables is often not the best way as you might be routing your wire in front of an airbag, which if ignited would most probably stop the camera from working and thus not providing the footage your policy might depend on. An installer should be popping trim and routing safe. A “cross over” might also prevent an airbag from deploying the way that it should. A professional will also only mount the cameras in safe places for both field of view and heat generation.

I have the dual channel system in my car. Rick solid with zero dab issues. I always suggest dual channel.

If you can fire an email over to hello@vagcarcoding.com we can sort out the details.

BlackVue DR750S dual cam with a dedicated battery for parking mode is a great option. Lots of improvements over the older 650S.

I have f800 pro front and rear and it is a superb bit of kit, the app could do with improvements, but it is one of the best on the market, parking mode at night is clear as day!

With the option fur rear camera it would be silly not getting it.
These things record with proximity alarm i.e parking mode. It's not always about what's in front of you.

I have the excellent thinkware f800 in the rs3 with the thinkware battery f750 in the s3 which the any power battery and 350 in the peugeot. Thinkware make the best camera period.

Tried most decent makes winycam, blackvue, mini802 cheap ones over past 8 years or so. Avoid winycam and blackvue unless you want dab hell as they all affect dab. Mini 802 had very good pic quality but build quality is really poor. Best quality are thinkware and blackvue, used to like blackvue till all the dab issues which they STILL haven't addressed even with ferrite cores

I had all professionally installed as I simply don't have the time or patience to do it myself. Saying it's an easy quick job is mad, not if it's done properly. Takes a few hours. My installer fits hundreds a year and says thinkware are the best.

+1 for Thinkware. I have the 2ch. F770 and the video quality is outstanding day and night. Managed to use a decent discount code on the RAC shop website at the time which made installation pretty much free... not sure if there's any active codes around at the mo though.

Thinkware 2 ch installed on mine by DJAlix last month works well. Great definition . Easy to playback .

Think you've missed some basic things here. 2nd camera and battery backup x 3 cars. Some of us have zero time and can use that time to relax or earn more money than it costs to pay someone to install it

Did you self-install? Looking at this for my RS3 when it comes. Also potentially interested in the IR version, except £££...

I did mate it’s pretty straight forward - some good guides on the web one on the S3 section.
