Can you please someone help in how can I launch the S3 in the most efficient and fastest way while rolling.

My settings: Individual.

1- Engine/Gear Box = Auto

2- Suspension = Comfort

3- Steering = Auto

4- Quattro = Auto

5- Engine Sound = Dynamic

What currently that I do to takeover or just fast launch is I flip the gear shift into sport and hit the throttle pedal or hit the gear shift in S and then downshift once and the full throttle but I feel is the car pauses for a moment and then launch so kindly help with that.

another question how to push the race pedal is foot full down or a bit gentle and gradually

That's what I do, if I have to over take, I just flip the DSG down into S and press the throttle - no need to floor it as the response will be very quick instead of leaving it in D.

If you are wanting to sprint off then bury the throttle, the gears will change automatically obviously or you can switch it to manual while in S using the flappy paddles.

Just depends how fast you want to go or complete your manoeuvre

As for car settings I usually have the car in dynamic but with gearbox in D. I prefer the heavier steering, feels too loose in town otherwise.

I get the pause is well if I try and floor it while rolling. Not great, but I believe its intentional as it has to drop a gear first but I didn't have this in my previous DSG car.

Potentially due to the default throttle response behaviour being time based. You can switch it to more direct using Carista/obdeleven erc which may help

The pause is normal, this is both clutch packs opening to select the appropriate gear for kick down.

If you floor the pedal it will kick down if you go past the stop. Once this caught me out. I put my foot down but did not floor it. The car accelerated but I decided I wanted a bit more and floored the pedal which caused it to kick down a gear. The speed had increased so that very soon after kick down it hit the rev limiter which I was not expecting at all. It may have been due to the fact that I was going uphill. So the gearbox got quite confused by hard acceleration followed by kick down. It has never happened since so maybe an unusual combination of factors.

I drive in manual mode 99% of the time i select the gear required and plant my foot saves the car having to find the gear and lurching
