Is anyone driving over from the east side of the island? I live in Suffolk County and wanted to see if there are any caravans. I don't mind driving out of the way to meet up with people either, just not toooooo far out of the way.

Who is all car cleaning detailing this weekend then?

Looking forward to it first of many I hope :)

What is anti bug repellent? could do with some of that myself before traveling down

If you find some, let me know Ian. :thumbs up:

I have seen a few that cover the front of their cars with detailing masking tape, quite sure this will minimise bugs and chips, a bit to far for me though, don't have the time.............

Hi guys,

I'm a fairly new member but planning to come to this event (my first car event!). I didn't manage to get tickets yet and plan to just pay at the gate, however could I still park at the club zone? Or how does it work?...

Any other tips for what to expect will be great :)

Oh and I'll be in a silver RS3 8V!

Cheers,
Amaury

Yes you can still park with Audi-sport.net. When you arrive ask to be directed to our stand .

I just seen on FB that all BBQ,s are being banned due to the very dry ground.
What are we going to do now then.

On a more serious note, I think this will only apply to instant BBQ's that are being used on the dry grass.

Based off the image they posted, seems like 0 tolerence. At the end of Vag at the Manor the fire service were called as someone with some form of a BBQ caught the field on fire....

Not a happy Audi owner at that, maybe they'll reduce the prices at the burger vans to compensate, not!!!!!!

The official word is No BBQ. Message from Calvin.

I am probably going to be hated for this but I would rather be hated than put hundreds of peoples lives and safety at risk!

Obviously, with the continued spell of hot weather, the ground and surrounding woodland at Deene Park is as dry as a bone!.....I'm sure none of you are blind or deaf and would of seen on the news the amount of bushfires that are happening up and down the country.

We are apparently forecast a bit of rain between now and the weekend but it will not be enough.
With this in mind, and the safety of EVERYONE, a decision has been made to BAN ALL BBQ's (gas or charcoal) and any FIRES of any sort.

I know a lot of you are sensible when it comes to things like this but not everyone is and it only takes one burning ember to cause a major disaster, therefore I have no option than to enforce a total ban for everyone or it is unfair.

If you have an issue with my decision, please feel free to air your comments below.....but the decision will stand!

Sorry guys but I gotta do what is right and what is safe!

Cheers

A great shame and we know the carbq is a great favourite (along with a free cheeseburger) but it has to be safety first.

Just like to thank @THQuattro once again for the sponsorship of it.

See you all on Sunday!

It's going to be totally different experience without a :hamburger:, but agree, safety first at all times.
