Can anyone give me some help with advice on new suspension for my Audi S3 8p.

I don’t want coilovers I think there too...Much for me. I don’t need adjustable everything I just want new shocks and springs to lower the car a bit and help handling, while keeping as much comfort as I can.

I really like the eibach pro kit performance springs but I’m looking to change my shocks too as they are old and showing their age, can you mount these springs to other brand shocks? And if so what would anyone recommend?

Apart from that any advice or help on the whole subject of changing my suspension would be massively appreciated guys. My budget is 500-600 Pounds but could maybe be stretched.

Thanks again guys :)

B8 dampers all round and eibach springs, make sure front dampers are 30mm shorter when ordering works a treat on a budget, then add rear ARB

Thanks mate much appreciated, I’ve literally spent all night looking for that info and stumbled across it just as you commented haha, thanks though, I read that the dampers only have to be 20mm shorter though, is it deffo 30mm?

Keep us updated as I’m thinking about improving the handling of my s3.

Could be right there, I couldn’t quite remember. Just know that the shock needs to be shortened to match the drop of the springs fitted. I didn’t know until after I bought them! Springs didn’t fit. So I got them returned and shortened for no cost so just buggeration factor not knowing before I ordered

The only thing that’s stopping me ordering them right now is it’s a extra £100 to have them shortened 20mm before sent out, that’s on top of an already £525 bill for the dampers and £150 for the springs.

What about the st suspension shocks and springs kit? Theyre made by KW arent they theyre only 500 for the kit dont know if anyone had much to do with those?

Cheers

Yeah they’re the other set I’m looking at, i suppose it’s a case of you get what you pay for but I’m just curious how good the bilstein/eibach combo are compared to the ST by KW

The Bilstein dampers are definitely higher quality and offer greater handling improvements but I'd say the ST kit is actually a little more comfortable.

I'm im the same situation atm, don't really want coilovers as I've had them on previous cars and never changed the ride hight.
What about h&r cup kit ? I've heard they are abit on the soft side tho I keep changing my mind between the 3 sets im currently in favour of the ST but not many people run them or I can't find reviews. In the end I'll probably end up with a set of bilstein coilovers

Yeah I just don’t know what to go with, I know I want to improve the handling and feel of the car but I don’t want to spend thousands!

I was in a similar situation to you as I only wanted shocks and springs to maintain comfort but get a lower stance and improved handling. However, I went in a mk3 Golf VR6 with FK coilovers that was lowered quite a lot and I kid you not, it was more comfortable than an Audi A3 with Vogtland springs and shocks.

I think a set of AP coilovers will offer decent comfort, whilst giving you that lowered ride height and better handling. Plus it's around £450, so within budget. Or go for an ST kit.

Im after some lowering springs as well for my s line black edition any examples???

Not recommended without renewing the dampers for Bilstein as it's particularly the oem Slime dampers are poor .

If your just replacing the springs the eibach pro kit springs are pretty good, around £150 too
£150 is not bad price , Im going to consider then after new year as firstly getting rs3 grill, how low should I got or is there just one set of springs

So what’s the comparison for SLine vs B8 vs ST? Currently have Eibach 30mm springs with SLine.
