Help. I am trying to get the parts together to fit a factory tow bar.
I have a bar. I have the part number for the release lever, but am having real difficulty with the module.
I have spoken at length to Audi dealers, and only Hull Audi were helpfull.
However he assures me that there is no listing for this module as it comes in a kit.
I am asking for anyone with an A6 C7 that has a factory bar to help by giving me a part number off the trailer module.

My car is 3013 bi-turbo but I don't think that should matter, of course I will stand corrected if anyone knows different.

I have VCDS to do the adaptions.

Many thanks
Andy

It should be 4G8907383 :) if you're buying from a main dealer, it has been superseded by
4G8907383C.

If the car is a 2015 facelift, you need 4G8907383B just as an FYI.

Hi Slackworth, thank you for that.

On eBay.
Would this be Ok?
Best regards.

Hi,

For a 2013 no - you need the none-prefix version or later C revision or you will not be able to code it to the car.

I have a third party Conwys (although branded Right Connections from a UK perspective) as I fitted a Witter towbar and it fools the car into thinking it is a genuine module with the above part codes. I had an issue when I fitted mine in that it was showing as a B version of the module when it isn't a facelift car but thankfully the third party modules are identical - just the wiring loom is different between the two. When I took it to Audi, they were unable to code the car via SVM as it showed as being the wrong part fitted to my pre-facelift. As a result, I've had to work out the coding in VCDS manually instead.

Thank you for the info.
I have decided to buy the loom and other bits I need from Wibutec in Germany. Prices not too bad and free shipping.
