Hello everyone, I'm buying an intercooler for S3 8p, but I'm in a doubt since is knew that I needed the one with this part number:
1K0 145 803 P

Now, they offer me this one:
1k0 145 928 F

What are the differences if someone knows?
Thank you,
Cheers

I can't say 100% for sure, but sometimes there is no difference I know on my motorbike, I went to buy new front discs, was told none available, but then upon looking they saw a different bike has the same size, bolt pattern and offset as my discs and were available. They said I could return them if they don't work. Bought the "different" ones and when I got home they were 100% identical to my old ones.

So Suzuki were using 2 totally separate part numbers for the EXACT same part....realistically, without having them side by side, you'll probably never know the exact answer to your question, but my experience goes to show that sometimes you get more than 1 part number for the exact same item.

Looking at ETKA, the part required for >09 is 1K0145803BP.

On a couple of Aussie websites, the '928F is mentioned in relation to the TTS. The ETKA link above also mentions TTS too.

There may have been a change with the model year updates post 09 or 10. There is comments of the bottom pipe being slightly repositioned and plastic end caps - doesn't say if it's the old or new version that have these changes.

If you have FB Messenger, send mjr901 a message (VAG Parts Specialist) who will be able to help.

If you don't mind me asking, are you looking for a replacement or an upgrade? If it's an upgrade it would be worth looking aftermarket like Wagner or Air-Tec (and others)

Go for the earlier one as the later facelift intercoolers have plastic end caps.

Thank you all for the info. I need I/C to upgrade my mk5 gti (I'm doing K04 conversion). Here is the photo of the I/C:

I don't have FB :) I only use mail, wup, viber... ;) or PM... I need it for an upgrade but my budget doesn't allow too expensive I/C (like Wagner etc.). I have an offer here at home for around 300€ for a new one (803P), or used but in good shape (928F) for a 200€...

I don't see here on the pictures the "plastic end caps" - which are often mentioned for a no good version of i/c for an upgrade...

Early S3 had the alloy end tanks and I think most TTS have alloy end tanks. Certainly by 2009 S3 have plastic tanks but the TTS carried on with the alloy end tank
