Service done today I'm so glad. The oil was black. Oil filter crap . And changed fuel filter. Air filter to change as well all genuine vag parts top man Andy at overboost heckmondwike. Also does cambelts. Timing chains Audi

Is that what the hooks are meant to attach to? I don't have the black metal loops at the back either, only on the side. Is that a sportback? Mine's a 3 door
 
So after much ****ing about not understanding how to fit the armrest, buying all manner of bolts etc, I finally understood (with the help of you lot) that you're meant to fit a rivet nut in the chassis plate. Got one on ebay wednesday evening, arrived today and took me 10 minutes to fit, if that. After all that as well haha. Also big up @atkins14 for the glovebox insert, works a treat!

Feeling rather pleased with myself I decided I'd give her a good wash too! Used Optimum ONR and spray wax! Still took ****** ages but the car was pretty dirty. At least I didn't have to mess about getting the hose up the side alley, backwards and forwards to the water tap to get the jet washer working etc. Did create a great finish though, highly recommended products!

Up next: S-Line 5 spoke alloys refurbished (in the boot, along with about 20 pillows hahaha, and ready to take to refurbishers tomorrow morning). Lowering springs if my wallet can handle it this month, if not next month, and also tyres next month. Obviously need to factor in fitting as well, some ****** garage quoted me £170 to fit the springs!
 
Blown a headlamp bulb, dropped car off at local garage......£150 for a pair of bulbs and i have to book it in now as they have to take the front end off to change a bulb *** !!! on a slightly brighter note booked in for APR stg2+ on wed ..

Well I managed to get my engine carbon cleaned this week. Next thing I've got to save up for is a new clutch and DMF. Ouch!

@paddy it was £99 for one car, but considering paying someone to take an engine apart and walnut clean is more likely to fetch £600+ I figured it was worth a look. I'm honestly thinking about making it an annual thing as part of preventative maintenance to keep my cars running well.

Are you seeing any difference? Also is yours a diesel or petrol?
 
@maxpayne it's a 2.0 TDI and yeah its now running so smooth it's honestly never ran as good as it is right now. No flat spots on acceleration and it's restored some power that's been missing for a while.

Ahhh yea looking back at it, it does yea. Random question but can you measure the length of the reverse light section and indicator section from your tail light please.

Honestly really appreciate it. Im doing the dynamic indicator project and still need to get my hands on some tail lights. This will help so i can code the amount of leds needed.

Yea i think ive seen it on new ford Mondeo but it would be nice to have on our tail lights too

Snap, although I fitted myself. 150 quid for two bulbs and you have to remove the bumper to fit , what a joke. There are access holes in the bulbs but you have to have Beadle hands to get in.

I did my own head light bulbs took some fiddling. You need small hands and plenty of plasters lol.

Porsche have one torx screw holding the complete light unit in, takes 2 mins to remove the complete thing so it can be done.

Lol yea now im thinking of going carbon or matt like yours as i want to do the number plate holder too for my grill.
I think it suits our dolphin grey sportbacks better than the chrome.

That looks cool. I to have a dolphin grey. How did you do it? Did you sand and strip down the chrome before wrapping? Also where did you get the wrap from and was it easy to do (say over plasti dip?).

I got mine off ebay. Bought 5 meter gloss black vinyl for £20 initially to wrap roof of my old car. Had some left over and thought why not dechrome my grill . I didnt sand down as i wanted to preserve the chrome.

new rear pads and discs. came to £38 for National auto discs and bosch pads. old pads were down to metal, and making a grinding sound badly (previous owner let them get to that state)
