Hey, I've owned my 2009 Audi A4 2.OT Quattro for over a week or so now and have a long lift of mods I'd like to make but beginning with the essential stuff and have a few questions!

1) My S line rear diffuser has some odd markings in the paint. It needs to be resprayed.. does anyone know the colour code for that particular grey? Or would black look better? And how much £ roughly?

2) My exhaust tips (after cleaning) appear to have 'pitting' marks all over them.. can this be polished out or will I need to buy new tips? -Need to figure out how to remove mine first and don't really want to spend £75+ on OEM.

3) Not the biggest fan of the chrome door trim. Wrap black or paint black? Which is better and why?

That's all.. for now!!

Thanks,
Mike

Further update.. tried to wire wool and metal polish the tips (managed to just pull them off) and they still look pretty bad. So I guess I either find some cheap chrome tips on eBay (anyone know of which ones are decent?) or paint them black..

How did you get the tips off?

They're tack welded on mine...

Same here, tack welded. I wouldn't feel conformable knowing my exhaust tips were that loose, could only take a pot hole or particularly un-even ground to loosen them enough before they fall off. I would advise getting them welded on.

They're not at all loose, it was a struggle to get them off and back on. They're fine, don't worry!

Real question is how I get the pitting marks off or whether I paint them black..

paint them if they are bad just didn't like the chome on mine black look miles better only my opinion tho

Yeah I think I might.. looking to get the chrome door trim wrapped black too (Quote of £150 seemed a bit expensive though?) and then probably a black honeycomb grill at somepoint too, go full stealth.

Debadged the back and bought new stainless steel exhaust tips. Now the question is whether to have the rear diffuser resprayed grey or go black? (Still deciding whether £150 door trim wrap is worth it too) ...also want to buy a honeycomb front grill if anyone has any recommendations as to who/where to buy from? Haha

Are you planning on leaving the Quattro badge on?

Looks odd and out of place but hey, just my opinion.

I think so yeah, looks better in person and differentiates it a bit from the bog standard fwd models (which I definitely didn't want!)

I like the grey diffuser I went anthracite just to break the back end up a bit so it didn't just all blend in but depends what your after

You'll get a grill on eBay loads to choose from

Thanks
Didn't want to tint the complete unit but thought the white didn't look right against the red

It's the little and simple touches

Yeah I think I'm going to have it resprayed stock grey, breaks up the back end a little. As to rear light tints, have also thought about doing that (though I would like to do the whole lights) does look smart! The little things do make a big difference - got black hammerite ordered, ready to paint the break calipers, for example!
