The salesman demonstrated this to me, a definite change in sound, very noticeable, although it doesn't happen at the flick of the switch, it's 2-3 seconds as the valve closes before the effect is heard.
Very strange, mine has an undeniable change in sound and attitude between comfort and dynamic.

Quick dash this morning over the moor. Very twisty with a speed bump sector. The village got annoyed with people like us I think. But the sound, pops and crackles bouncing off the narrow walls woke me up.
Coming out of the speed bumps and a twisty hill climb, this new B9 just sticks like glue! Honestly, with the sports diff, I'm warming to this car more and more. Just two characters. Nobody does it better at this price range. It's not an RS but so so capable. Nobody has ever kept up or left me in these kind of conditions.
RS3 would probably do me though haha.

Not to go off-topic too much, but I do wonder how many drivers actually welcome speed bumps being installed where they live? More likely a slightly over-zealous non-driving do-gooder who grumbles at the occasional irresponsible driver. So yes, they killed the speed problem but now have to endure every car braking and accelerating over each bump which is no doubt more noticeable than the problem it's supposed to resolve. Dynamic all the way over those things and max pops. I personally drive out of my way to avoid speed bumps. I can do without the knackered alloys and ripped out sump guard (previous A4, stupidly high bumps) thank you very much.

Actually the number of speed humps should about to be reduced as around where they are located there is increased emission levels. No suprises there really...Not to go off-topic too much, but I do wonder how many drivers actually welcome speed bumps being installed where they live?
