Hi guys,

New member here as I only just picked up my 2013 Audi A3 2.0 TDI Sport yesterday.

I noticed today that the left-hand side steering wheel Menu Multifunction button is not working correctly and has to be pressed really hard in order to work.

Is it possible to replace just the left-hand side controll?

Give it a short squirt of wd40

I'll give that a try, but I think some debris has got behind the button as I can see some white sand particles around the side of it.

Strip module & clean, do not use wd40 on that area, that's not a wise move.

Yes it's possible - my process would be to remove the air bag then the black trim ring which can take a little persuasion the switches can then be replaced.

Thanks for the reply guys.

Is there a tutorial/walkthrough which shows how to remove the airbag etc?

There are pictures somewhere I put some up when I changed my DSG paddles also posted pics on air bag removal on a steering wheel removal thread. Can't look now so try the search facility in the meantime.

To remove the bezel and switches it helps to have some decent plastic pry tools you need to get under the switch with a 'Y' shaped one and gently lever it out. It's this ball you need to pry out of a socket in the steering wheel foam ......
