2009 Volkswagen Golf mk6 GTD Cruise Control Coding Session!

The owner of this VW Golf mk6 has started to rack up the miles and thought to add Cruise Control to make his daily commute down the M1 a little better. Being a technical guy he sourced the needed parts and installed them himself however he was not able to code and activate the feature. This session saw VAG Car Coding code, activate and test the Cruise Control function with no issues!

2013 Audi A3 8V 2.0TDI Sport Sportback Audi Sound System Retrofit!

Not happy with the overall quality of this Audi A3’s basic sound system, the owner of this vehicle made a 200mile trip over to see VAG Car Coding and have the Audi Sound System retrofitted. This process saw both a front Centre speaker and a rear Subwoofer retrofitted, coded and activated! All parts used were Genuine Audi OEM and came supplied with a 2 year warranty. 2016 Audi Q3 8U Reversing Camera Retrofit and More!

Using Genuine OEM Audi new parts we retrofitted a reversing camera to this rather nice Audi Q3, fully coded and working along side the factory parking system plus sensors. While we had the car apart we also took the time to tidy up the customers Dashcam “self” install, both re-routing and hiding all the related cables, before and after photos included. We also completed the fitting of a GPS tracking system which the customer had started, not pictured for obvious reasons.

Arranged as part of a group corporate project this new Porsche Macan Turbo has now need fitted with the latest Blackvue 2 Channel Camera System, the DR900S 4K with full Cloud Connectivity and an external power management and battery unit. This solution has been fully fused and earthed to the vehicles factory electrical locations, with all cables routed along factory run and behind all the airbags for safety and insurance compliance. We also updated the vehicles media system with speed camera data and activated Video in Motion!

Stunning Example of the Audi TT! Used Approved, the owner of this high specification vehicle wanted to code in a couple of missing features. 2015 Audi S3 8V Saloon MarRide Re-calibration and Coding Session!

Purchased used approved from Audi, Arrow Service Centre wanted to give this car the VAG Car Coding treatment!

First we completed a full diagnostic protocol in order to check of any issues and the vehicles digital record of works. We then referenced the Launch Control Counter in order to make sure the vehicle had not been abused. We then checked the factory configured ride hight against the actual hight and performed a full recalibration. Now the vehicle is no longer under and indeed over compensating the stiffness of the dampers as the correct reference point has been set. Here comes the coding:

2016 Audi RS6 4G OEM Tow Bar Retrofit and Coding Session!

Said it before and will say it again, we ain’t a “man with a vagcom cable” outfit! As a company we also supply support services to other businesses.

Today we took a trip over to see the guys at @QSTuning in order to assist with the retrofitting of a genuine OEM Swivelling Tow Bar. QST were taking care of the physicals but VAG Car Coding was needed for the programming as a retrofit of this type is not straight forward. Why? The RS6 has active suspension and assistance systems, all of which need to know if there is an extra weight / load being placed on the vehicle. The new control module needs too know about the assistance systems in use and the existing ABS, Engine, Suspension Control, even the power tailgate system all need to know about the Bow Bar!

2011 Audi Q5 8R OEM Reversing Camera Diagnostic and Repair!

Unfortunately this appointment arrived very late but always wanting to service our customers we managed to resolve the issue, we had no time to take photos however as we were too busy removing and reinstalling all the trim from the rear of this vehicle!

So what was the issue? Broken 12v Permanent Live power cable to the reversing camera unit, a common issue on VAG cars as “wires” are prone to breaking in and around the tailgate hinge area.

When a MagRide vehicle rolls off the production line its resting position is calibrated, a baseline from which how much power the dampers need to keep the car level is calculated. Incorrectly set the ride control will feed the dampers too much or too little, meaning the vehicle will not handle correctly.

Factory calibrated springs have not settled. Put some miles on your car and springs can settle 9 to 17mm. A difference of 3mm is enough to throw the system out!

Lowered? You NEED re-calibration! Handling will be so much better once correctly setup. Have Audi Drive Select? The procedure will return the differences to the drive modes.

Track your vehicle? Dash lighting up, clearing next ignition? Not only does the system have a resting point it also has max compression and extension points, automatically calculated from the resting point. The ride system thinks its outside tolerance. Your cars assistance & safety systems think your car is coming off its dampers!

Long story short this vehicle has had a few “feature” issues since being stolen recovered, and we have been helping resolve as many as we can. This extended session, spanning some 2000 miles, saw a new and virgin replacement CAN Bus Module fitted and coded, Driving Profile / Mode feature coding and some DQ500 gearbox coding / integration works.

2014 Audi S3 8V Pre-Purchase Diagnostic Report!

As good as the cars are unfortunately Audi dealerships can be a bit, well lets say sloppy. This customer was looking to change from his Audi A3 8P 3.2 to this Audi S3 8V and wanted some extra piece of mind before signing on the dotted line. I don’t think the dealership liked it very much but they allowed VAG Car Coding to connect up and perform a full diagnostic and visual inspection, while the techs stood there watching in the distance lol. From stored errors through to the Launch Control Counter we checked everything, and ultimately advised that bar a couple of basic issues, that we saw no reason not to purchase this vehicle… provided the dealership serviced the DSG box before collection and replace a damaged light switch. They agreed and said that they would change the DSG oil. When asked why not the filter the reply was “its a sealed unit and does not need it”. Sloppy, just sloppy! Happy to report that they did in fact correctly service the DSG box before the customer collected his new vehicle
