My S3 57plate Armrest must be as the title says have looked through 20pages off classified and found a few armrest adverts and not one would fit my car check a few sites and still no joy so if anyone wants to check out my wanted post in classified you will see pics off the type I need with the mount and numbers and if anyone and I mean anyone from younger brother or sister to mother or father or grand mother to grand father help I would be more than grateful cheers in advance
 
The armrests are the same for all 8P models, it's just the lid thats different depending on interior trim.
 
I would like to say they are and not saying there not but if you check out ebay they differ as you can see from the pics off the one I was sent from Germany totally different attachment and my model is on the sellers compatibility chart . first 2 are off the item from Germany and the next ones are off mine

Mind it came from a very reputable seller in Gemany so would be thinking good sh1t but goes to show you there different , noticed the same fitting but there on the A4
 
So are you wanting one without the telephone mount as per your original factory fitted one? Or one without any sort of phone prep?

All GENUINE ORIGINAL 8P armrests are mounted the same, you don't specifically need one from a S3. Don't buy cheap garbage. Original parts only!
 
You asking me to buy a Grey one from Latvia to fit into a black interior , who picks the paint in your house lol
 
The part number of the one I linked matches your own, the 6PS at the end tells us the colour, in this case, Soul Black.
 
the one it is in the car is what I would have said was the original and not an extra but I don't know but going by the data sheet I got from audi looks like that's the way it came from factory and every person I have asked on here and even put an ad in here doesn't seem to have one so that's why the title is what it says cause there like that
 
thanks for that info matey so now you can see why I won't be going to buy that one , and it seems to be the only one on ebay that is for a A3 or s3 , and no one on here seems to be selling any like the one in my car without the iPhone cradle , I have spoken to another member who has the same MY57 and he has the iPhone cradle in his or that would have been cool . do you know off a way to get the iPhone base out or even getting the barrel out off the armrest
 
I don't get what you're saying but all I can advise is that don't buy chinese rubbish as you've already seen, it isn't always what it seems.

The one I linked is the same one as you posted in pic 3/4, if you don't want one with phone prep just buy another used one.

was meaning to ask what the difference in the numbers mean / like 6ps is the paint as you said but whats the E

The letter at the end shows any options fitted to the armrest, ie phone prep, the different types of phone prep or no phone prep.
 
ok mate cheers , looked are your links and 1 at 49.99 I might go for depending if I am going to get my postage back from ebay for the item I have got from Germany spoke to them and they have said I should as the seller had a compat chart up and my car was in it that's the reason I bought it , Another thing why is my car classed as an 8p1 and I notice the year bit is like 2003 to 2012 , and the *pa 2004 to 2010
 
Never rely on the compatibility chart. Do your research instead of depending on a seller provided chart.
 
checked out your links again the first 1 the clip is broken so no good and the other 3 going by there compat chart wouldn't fit my car as mine is a 8P1
 
They're the same. I'll not get into 8P1,2,3,5,7 or the meaning of part numbers now but the chassis is the same. They'll fit.

Don't rely on charts!! The 8P0 part number at the start means it's for all 8P's
 
its hard to do the research when I don't know a great deal about Audis that's why I put an advert up here and a post in general chat so as people like yourself can help and I do appreciate it but would just love to find one that is black fits my car with no iPhone it doesn't seem much to ask
 
you would think out off all the cars A3 and S3 upto an age that are getting broke someone would have an armrest lol. would a rest out off a 8lL fit
 
this is what means comes under in those compat charts
Audi A3 2007 8P1 [2003-2012] Hatchback Hatchback S3 quattro 1984ccm 265HP 195KW (Petrol)
 
Don't rely on the charts!!!!

Trust me, any armrest from a 8P will fit your S3!
 
I do trust you mate just kinda pointing out how kinda hard it is to do the research when you get the 8p1 ,8pa,
 
quick bit off advice would year would be the earliest I would probably get one off these from if you have any idea as it would help widen my catch net and the oldest if you don't mind
