Hey,

Been looking at interior/Seats for the Audi, I have a Audi A4 B7 2.0 TDI S line AVANT which has the light grey interior which I seem to be constantly cleaning due to having 2 very young children.

I really like the Audi A4 B8 S Line half leather seats but want to know if someone have already made them fit, if so how much work is involved to make them fit, welding etc...

Thanks

Guy on Facebook fitted a set. Said it was pretty straight forward, I think he just needed to make a new hook for the rear seats to latch into.

Did he fit door cards as well?
I doubt that B8 door cards fit B7

seat only fitting i'm afraid and saloon rear seats are more tricky to fit into the avant, maybe more work than you'd really want .There are lots of different colour and material finish B7 interiors for sale on the webby, and some are a real bargain, why not just go that way, just a thought.

I have had a good look at all the B7 seats but I do love the S line half leather seats, always caught my eye and I don't think it's that pricy in all fairness. But then went on looking at which ones would fit best in the Audi b7 Avant, for example the Audi B8 s line seats. Would you know if the A3 half leather s line seats fit also?

Thanks

I have had a few b8 avants over the course of the last couple of years as courtesy cars from audi, either leather or half leather seats etc and I found them to be nowhere near as nice or comfy as my B7 seats etc, quite hard seat pads aswell, its a personal choice thing really, I find my seats great from a comfort point of view and function .
what one man may like another may not....

A family member had an 11 plate A3 black edition and had half leather s line seats in it and I thought they ticked all the boxes, comfy, looked great. I'm guessing that them seats would be the same comfort as A4 B8 half leather seats right?

they may not be as I think the a3 seat are a different size to the A4 ones aswell, well that is what I was told when I was looking into seat swaps A5 seats are a good swap into A4 B7's, electrics are different though.

I'm intrigued, what A5 seats exactly? with the electrics is it as easy as getting the right adapters and cutting and chopping the cables into the new adapters?

I think some retro seat fits workout easier than others, depends on what seats you go with, from threads I have read some seats need specific looms etc if you want all the seats functions to work , other more basic function can be done by chopping and swapping. not all seats use the same fixings either.
A guy on here called Dimi , has fitted some great S5 recaro's into his A4 saloon very successfully but wasn't able to get all the seat functions to work but basic ones do.
