Look in the Hand book and it will tell you. But I believe its to turn on and off the proximity alarm sensors inside the car.

If you want to leave your dogs or kids in the car with it locked you wont set the alarm off, needs to be pressed every time the alarm is activated.
Wifi is funny but my favourite is anti jacking device lol.
