It sure is! But since you got a 2019 version with 300hp I would just write them an email to confirm before ordering.

I’ll get mine fitted in a couple of weeks I just need to get the software updated on the gearbox first to fix the problem with the gear change after you’ve just started the car and accelerate hard in sport mode where it gets confused and jumps out of gear.

Interesting, mine does a very hard shift from 1st to 2nd after its been started. Are the dealers aware of this then?

I have asked this question to the JB4UK shop, but didn't get an answer. Maybe you guys know?
If I buy a JB4 for my S3, are the maps loaded on specific to that model of car, ie. different boost pressure for a certain gear/rpm as would be for a Golf R or Cupra, or are the maps all the same?
If they are different, how have they determined what boost to set at any given rpm?

Is there any particular reason that the boost increase is less at lower rpms in the supplied maps? Is this for mechanical sympathy of the auto box? is it necessary on a manual with an uprated clutch?I can understand reducing it at the very top end since that's when fuel demands are at their greatest but at lower rpms I would have thought the fuel system and turbo should cope quite happily.
It is, the peak torque is down low at our S3s and you don't want to get above 480-500nm without a TCU tune. So above 3500rpm is where you want to add more boost.
And with a manual I wouldn't advise to do anything before upgrading the clutch (lots of threads about this).

Already got an uprated sachs clutch since the stock junk failed last year.
Nice figures btw. My mods will be the same as yours except Ive also got a revo uprated intercooler. Somewhere around 375, 380 would certainly be very nice to have.

Unfortunately not mine, or, I haven't dynoed mine yet and I'm running slightly more boost in the high revs than map 2.
I need to make some logs since I've adjusted it a little since George approved my settings/graphs last time. I've also fitted RS7 plugs since. Should be good for around 370hp.

It ships with the cable. Got the bluetooth adapter myself and love it!
If you haven’t done anything to your air intake I would recommend that for better spool up and noise. I just modified the factory intake and added a BMS turbo elbow, sounds really nice and makes sure your turbo can breath when adding the extra boost.

Impressive, especially at 1700m and additive Map 1 (the highest point in Denmark is 171m
).
No issues with running FOL 50? I got a Fuel Rail Pressure Low error while running 50 and lowered the FOL to 40 and haven't experienced it since.
For the curious ones I'm running these settings right now (a little less in the top end than the log below where I experienced some overboost).
On the below log auto shift redux was 100 and boost safety 26. This has been lowered to 80 to avoid the 26psi spike you see after I release the throttle in 4th and to prevent the overboost scenario described below.

This is the overboost scenario which made the boost safety kick in (boost safety was 26 here). George told me that this could be avoided by doing the above change to auto shift redux which will lower the boost at gear changes. The odd thing is that the ECU is actually requesting more boost, a lot more. George told me this could be due to warmer weather but I made the run above just before this.

Damn ... is that like about 7-8psi over stock at 4krpm? must feel incredibly torquey in that part of the rev range!!!
Agree! It's crazy in 1st to 3rd since the ecu can't correct the boost as it normally would in the first three gears because it's absolute values.

If I'm honest, yes, the car performs strongly.
Power band it wide and considering i don't have my anger intercooler fitted yet, the performance doesn't feel too inhibited by heat. I'm sure the ignition will have a fair amount of pull, more noticeable in the warmer months.
Nope, you’re right. AFR should drop to below 15 after some seconds and be in the 13’s optimally in 3rd and 12’s in 4th.
All sorted, seems the 2019 Golf R also has a new style connector.. If anyone needs to know, its the white wire at the top.
Had a few decent pulls in map 2, seems a fair bit stronger than standard now. Just waiting for George to get back to me on the log I sent him, before I switch to map 6 and start fiddling..
I am getting P0000 No Description Found when reading the codes, and it won't go away when I clear them? Any ideas what or why??

The main cause of DTC P0000 has to do with the scan tool in use. Some aftermarket scan tools are simply not equipped to read certain systems, protocols, and manufacturer-specific DTCs. As such, they default to display P0000, which can be a bit misleading. Update your scan tool software, make sure that it’s fully compatible with your year, make, model, and sub-model, or see if you can access an updated factory scan tool.
The JB4 app is reading the codes. I don't have a scan tool, so I'll probably take it to my local VW specialist to get it read.

Hi all - interested in what Firmware you are running. I'm a bit nervous about updating but realise my firmware is 60/4/4 which is about 2 years old. This is on a 2016 S3 8V. I see F/W is up to version 60/83/5 now - but read that some people are having issues. Have you updated to the latest firmware (think it was end of 2018) ? I'd be interested in what else has changed since rel 60/4/4 as I'm always up for improvements but sometimes the latest versions need time to settle in. My JB4 shipped with VW_JB4_OBDII_7_TEST4 installed.. I drove around for a week or so, no issues at all. I then updated to JB4_VW_8_4 and have been driving round with that ever since. It feels no different. 
There is talk of a new firmware, with updated maps dropping real soon. I'll probably update to that as well.. and not notice any difference..

I was trying to solve a "problem" with some throttle closure at high rpm together with George the other day. Then it hit me, maybe I should try to do a map 0 map just to see if it's still there and it sure was.
So, could some of you guys with FL 7-speed gearbox see if you also have throttle closure at high rpms? Normally this would indicate some overboost but I just think (and hope) it's the nature of the S3 with the torque vectoring.
And just FYI: FL cars with the new 7-speed gearbox is not good at boost at high rpms. You should taper it down to 0psi from 6.000rpm to 7.000rpm (George told me this). Right now I'm running the below map 6 and when I push it I manually shift at 6.500rpm since nothing happens after this anyway and I prevent the throttle closure.
You can see what I'm talking about below:
