Question - Audi A4 Avant 2003 Whine at slowing and idle in Drive

Apologies but could not find any answers to this by searching.
Hi,
I have a newly bought used Audi A4 Avant 2.4 6V Automatic
2003 model.
After it's first good drive of an hour or so I noticed a slight whine as the car came to a halt.
Very low level but audible.
AC off.
Radio off.
The slightly intermittent whine appears when almost coming to a stop, idling, and pulling away slowly.
If I put car in Neutral from Drive it stops.
Back to Drive it starts.
It does not happen as much when car is starting from cold or just 20/30 minute drive.
PS fluid is full.
Turning wheel does not affect it.
Any suggestions at all?

Sound like it could have old ATF in the gearbox. Do an ATF & filter change with genuine VAG parts.
