Thats no Moon, Thats a space station!
Well had a proper home mechanics day yesterday and me and Future (Tom) and JtotheD (Josh) managed to get my shiney new stainless steel goodness fitted.
I will just say that fitting the new stuff is a peice of cake really and access to the turbo nuts isnt too bad using some universal joints on spanners etc.
What i will say is removing the old OEM Downpipe is a proper fecker!
Cost of removal is as follows :
£4,000,000 in the swear jar
1 pint of blood
a yard of skin
3 angle grinder discs
Had a mini accident and caught a power steering pipe with the angle grinder (i was almost done so sods law was that i cut it on the last section) so gotta fix that at some point soon as cant use the car till then (see my previous thread for a part number request) also couldnt get the post lambda sensor out of the cat so have to get a new oneof those too.
Still am really pleased that we managed to do it between us and learnt alot about my car and feel much more confident doing some of these bigger jobs now so next on the list is an FMIC setup.
Big thanks to Tom (stayed till 10:30pm to get the car back together) and to Josh too for some brute force lol.
