Wifes car is giving us a bit of a headache at minute, cuts out but restarts straight away but won,t tick over, yellow warning symbol of car with skidmarks lit up on dash,
RAC called, plugged it in and said it was an intermittant maf sensor fault, cleared codes so she could get home and take to garage next morning, new sensor fitted last Friday, symptons returned last night so i drove it to the garage for investigation today,
By the time i got to the garage the previous warning light was still on also the engine management light was on but the car would tick over,
Any thoughts on what it could be?
I,m waiting on a call from the garage now.

MAF, intake manifold air leak, throttle body may be faulty, vacuum leak.

Without fault codes it is quite hard to say.

Mine did this after a ecu update and MAF was one of the issues. Turned out it was fine, the ecu just needed to adapt. Unplugging it and plugging it back in Cleared it.

Garaged plugged it in and threw up intermittant rich running, cleaned throttle body out and all seems fine for now fingers crossed,
Thanks for your reply.
