3.0tdi rattle on startup.

I've put this in here people as all the platforms have it so rather than a million posts one will do sufficiently hopefully.
Its a general question of price really as I've started to hear the rattle on startup on my A7. So before I start spanners and delving into it more than I should what sort of price have people paid to have this sorted. Everything else runs perfect, scanned with obd11 the other day and no faults etc but the rattle is getting annoying so I'd rather be prepared for a rough estimate rather than trying to get ripped off. Thanks people.

I had mine done about 5 years ago, 2.5k and that was mates rates, engine out so may as well do the clutch unless you have an auto, Four chains & tensioners.

Yeh mines an auto fella. 2.5k **** me. Did yours fail or was it preventative maintenance.
