How many are their on this engine ?

I'm interested to see how many the engine has, and what effect they have, do they all report to the ecu or do some of them run closed circuit with the main ecu only reading it if an upper limit is reached or exceeded

Thanks

There is two senders on these engines G83 Radiator outlet coolant temperature sender and G62 Engine coolant temperature sender. They both are senders not termo switch and connected to ECU. You can check them in measured blocks with VCDS. Do you have any problems with cooling?

No, no cooling issues, but my fuel economy has suffered lately, so looking at possible solution down this route.

I have an A4 2.0 TDi that the Mrs' drives, and that has similar, changed a sensor and the econ rocketed back to what a 2.0 TDi should be.

Thank you for your input, I'll pop and price them up tomorrow
