3 0 Petrol vs Diesel

Anybody have experience of a 3.0l petrol & diesel. What are the pro vs cons of this engine, other than fuel consumption??

Petrol, pre cats, when i had mine tool all 4 out, and map to suit, hell of a difference

Petrol as above , gut the cats and remap and that's about it !
Diesel: dpf delete, free flow exhaust, remap and easy 280-300 Bhp with scope for more if you change turbo for a hybrid and 335d bmw injectors...
