2nd key fob

I disconnected the negative lead for an overnight charge and in the morning I had to reset the key fob I always use. No bother, easy to do.
I dug out my 2nd fob and I just cannot seem to configure it to the car. I have put a new battery in and the red led flashes. The key works fine in the door and ignition. Any ideas please?

I had this when I got mine, spare key fob had no battery, tried everything I could find online about reprogramming, none worked. I had to get Audi to do it in the end, has been fine ever since.

Did they do it for free?

Yes, but was done by a friend on his lunch break, I imagine they would book something for it under normal circumstances though.

Yip needed working key and laptop into the odb port.

Someone near me will supply a new reprogrammed key for about half Audi charge
