Swapped my 06 sports seats for 2010 black edition half leathers, sitting on them they seemed slightly higher than the original seats. Putting this down to newer seats with firmer padding and preferring to adjust slightly lower I ground the end of the ratched/cog adjustment under the seat to an angle (you will see it underneath if the seat is in it's highest position, the end has solid metal where another cog could be shaped.) which allows half a pump on the adjustment handle lowering the seat only 5-10mm but enough to feel right, not a huge difference but worth trying for all of 1 minute of grinding with a dremel. Thought I would share that useless bit of info on a rainy Sunday!
