hi guys and girls,
i have recently bought myself my 1st Audi after 10 years of owning vw golfs (mk4 gti which is now my current track car, and a mk6 gti) and i
am told that this is the place to be for everything Audi so here i am
My new daily ride is a modified B7 A4 avant quattro Sline special edition in red (they're the fastest ones right???) The previous owner had carried out some sensible mods to enhance both the looks and the performance of the car. All the chrome exterior trim has been plastidipped in matt black, tinted the rear windows and the DTM alloys are in an anthracite colour (unfortunately they all have some kerbing on that needs sorting), with the car lowered all round on Eibach springs and spacers behind the wheels i think it looks pretty good for a 10 year old car. Engine wise it has been remapped by MRC tuning to just over 270bhp with supporting mods such as an 034 motorsports highflow inlet hose, JHM FMIC, JHM uprated fuel pump internals and high flow cat, with a Stasis cat back exhaust, so it moves pretty well for a big car and it also stops as quick as it gets going thanks to the huge Tarox big brake kit with the 10 pot calipers and 340mm 2 piece discs up front.
As a newbie to the audi and also T FSI engine a few questions i have are, 1) is the BUL engine known to consume a lot of oil or is that a sign of another issue....currently monitoring oil consumption to get a decent understanding of how much it is using 2) is there an uprated cam follower available or is it best to replace with an OEM version when required to change 3) where can i get a stud conversion kit for the fuel pump to make it easier to remove and check the cam follower?
Anyway here are a few pics of the car in question, the fade in paint colour on the pics is down to the camera and not the car, i will get some proper pics uploaded once i have cleaned it again
