Hi there,

I hope I'm posting this in the right place. I'm new to the forum, following recently ordering a FLS3 sportback. I got a great deal! But unfortunately wasn't able to add parking sensors due to it being an offer. I wasn't bothered at the time, but after some thinking time... It's starting to bug me!
If I was to have them "retrofitted" by Audi, does anyone know the costs? What other options do I have? Kicking myself a little now!

Any help would be greatly appreciated

Thanks

If I were you I'd ring the dealer to see if your order can be amended in the first instance.

People on here have had them retrofitted by Audi themselves and whilst they look identical externally they are not necessarily as well integrated so you don't get the visual display on the MMI or volume control options.

I've already asked, i'm going to have the car on a personal lease basis, and the broker said they only have a "standard build slot" I presume this is why I cannot add anything to the vehicle?

Go to Audi themselves. After all the car is coming from them. Find out who the supplying dealer is.

Must admit I don't know about lease arrangements or how brokers operate but generally you can make amendments to your spec up to 3 weeks before your scheduled build week at which point it effectively becomes locked down. Do you know your build week ?

Me neither! I've never leased before this I have emailed them asking for the supplier for my vehicle.

I'm currently in the process of waiting for a build date, and was told they should have it by next week (they probably won't... But hey!)

Yep..I agree with Rob.They weren't fitted on my car(cancelled order). Had the dealer retro fit them as part of the deal and although they look like oem they don't have the visual display or volume control options and to top it all they sound absolute 'pants':concern:
Having said that I haven't bumped it parking...............yet........:sadlike:

Probably worth checking if a retrofit like that is acceptable on a personal lease car. Remember the car will never be yours and lease companies can get 'funny' about these things. I know it's technically an 'improvement'.

Thanks for the replies, guys.

They've finally agreed to let me have them fitted as standard (I had to write them an email wishing to cancel first though!)

Thanks again! I'll post some pics when she eventually arrives :D
