RS3 grille on S3? facelift model

I am fully booked this week and need to get ready for Audis in the Park on Sunday, I literally don't have any time at the moment. I promised Label I would contact him a few days ago but I will probably have no time to sit down and work something out until Monday or Tuesday at the earliest.

Any update on the RS3 grill on where to get it? I'm from Canada and would like to get my hands on 1 too.

Not sure of the quality to be honest - most likely not great. Plus you'd have to manually cut a hole for the ACC/PreSense module.

i think that is pre-facelift, because face look different:

Below is the 2016 RS3 - same grill frame shape as the 2016 S3 & A3.

So the one for sale above really looks like its for the 2017 models. (Notice the sharp diamond shape).

Update: Messaged the eBay store owner and asked about the hole for the ACC/PreSense system. He "confirmed" (very loosely using this term due to terrible English) that they can custom-make them with the hole in place.

I'm really considering getting one - seems like we wont know the quality until someone actually tries it.
 
Guys... That same aftermarket FL RS3 grill is available in China for around US$300, the eBay guy is a rip off... Plus the authentic OEM grill is only around GBP450ish...

To my knowledge the OEM RS3 grill does not fit the S3. You would need the entire front bumper unit. This is why we need to find an aftermarket S3 grill that has RS mesh styling.

As for the eBay guy, he's also taking best offers. So maybe someone can barter and see.

Where is this Chinese one for 300 that you speak of?
 
Where are you getting that info? FL RS3 to FL S3 is direct swap, it's been done to death...

I don't agree with silver caps being an option. They are individual to the S3 and what helps distinguish it from other models. That's just my opinion though
 
Don’t think I’ve ever seen silver cap as option for non-S/RS on any model... Carbon cap for some, silver no...

The RS3 front grill has the same dimensions as the S3 front grill

Funny that, there's only one guy on here I know of with a FL RS3 grill on their FL S3. It hasn't been 'done to death'. You're thinking of the old S3s with RS3 grills.

Dimensions may be the same, but it is not a DIRECT fit and bumper and grill needs modifying to fit an S3 FL.

Lmao, you really are an ignoramus, it's incredible. Let me quote Craig who fitted an OEM RS3 grill to his S3 FL.
It does require some trimming of the lugs on the bumper its self, due to the locating lugs being in different places. Only need to do this across the bottom, then you need the trim the inner side on the grille its self so it doesnt interfere with the lower black section which fits underneath. Its fairly self explanatory once the grille is fitted, you will see what parts you need to trim. Daunting as neither bumper or grille is to cheap to replace, but definitely worth it.

It will be good option if it looks as good as the oem RS3 grille as it retails at £950+vat.

I know a company is making one very similar to the pfl RS3 that fits the FL S3 but it just looks wrong. Like a cross between PFL and FL.

So far as far as im aware i was the only person stupid enough to spend that kind of money on a grille

I like it though
