I'm having a hard time finding solid figures on ground clearance for the A3 Saloon...

I currently have a BMW 1 Series which has 140mm clearance, if I attempt to mount my drive at anything about 2mph the underside of the front bumper hits the ground and scratches the paint off... I always enter the ramp carefully but sometimes I mess up.

I've seen figures for the A3 Saloon at 120mm, 140mm and 160mm clearance but cannot figure out which is accurate, I've ordered the S-Line spec but with standard suspension so I assume it's closer to the latter, has anyone had any issues with their clearance before?

Just measured mine - A3 saloon, standard suspension, standard wheels and tyres.
The clearance to the lowest part of the floor is 130mm
However the distance to the bottom of the front bumper is 200mm.

My previous car was an Avensis and the bottom of the bumper always just caught the road when I left my drive (quite a slope up my drive). Ditto when my brother had one.
The A3 never catches the road, although the front sensors fire off if they are active.

Hope this helps.

Thank you for that! That's great, I'll measure my BMW today to compare, I'm just worried that day 1 of having my brand new car I'll scratch the bottom of the bumper edging on my drive at 1mph!
