If you can advise of audi any info warranty what ia included and time periods ?

I think its 3 years mechanical, 3 years for paint defects and 12 years anti corrosion (perforation).

New genuine parts carry a 2 year warranty too I believe.

You can take out extended warranty for 5 years/90K miles (done it on my new A6) but any warranty has long since gone on your motor.

Good luck with any claims, don't think I've ever seen a corrosion warranty go through with 100% payment from Audi.

Have you got some rust then?

I've had corrosion work done by Audi, but on both occasions wish I hadn't bothered as it took more than one go to get the work done right.
Wouldn't let this particular bodyshop paint my pushbike now

I think that the corrosion warranty only applies to rust coming from the inside and doesn't cover rust from stone chips.
It is up to you to treat stone chips as they happen.

Correct and even if the corrosion is coming form the back of the panel, they will still check the paint thickness to check for previous repairs.
