Had a few issues with my wifes A3.... Pretty sure it is the 2.0 170 TDI

I have heard there is an "expert" based somewhere in Nottingham who offers a fix for all problems on power.

Does anyone know who this is? Or can reccomend anyone over in Telford/West Midlands way to offer me any help?

Major issue has always been power 'stuttering' when on the gas. But recently, it has been having issues starting when left for 3-4 days. (Had BOTH intank fuel pumps replaced 6 months ago) Crank for long enough (60-90seconds) the fuel finally comes through and it starts fine but you need to jump start it for that long.

Plus, I can see exhaust fumes coming from the engine bay when revving.
Also had an EGR Temp sensor replaced, to try and stop the power stuttering issues.

Pretty sure someone mentioned a guru for these engines in Nottingham.

Chassis: WAUZZZ8P07A019XXXX

Any ideas, suggestions folks?

I'm from Nottingham and would be interested in hearing if anyone has used CR and what they thought of them

I'm keeping a eye on this as I'm having similar start up issue, I changed battery, starter motor, fuel filter, but now mines booked in next week as garage think the dual mass flywheel has excessive movement causing poor reading from the crank sensor, I'll keep you updated

Thanks for the info everyone.

Honestly, I think there may be a failed non-return valve or something for the issue with the starting.
Battery feels fine (Cranks for a good 3-40 seconds) and the starter also pulls fine.
But after 3-4 days not being used, it takes more like 60-80 seconds to start. So I have to hook it up to my campervan. (Which has two HUGE lorry batteries!)

I am more concerned with the exhaust fumes I see under the bonent than anything else to be honest and the lack of power.
Just feels a little flat.

Spotted someone on here who says they work for http://www.apautomotive.com (Telford) so I may give them a call and see if they can have a look.
