Changing the Head Concert II

Hi,

I have an audi a3 2.0T Quattro and I wanted to change my stereo from a Head Concert II to a diffrent single Din stereo. I have no Bose sound system and No steering controls on the wheel.

My problem is that I'm clueless as to what i would need to change it and if the other stereo would be just a plug and play.

So far the only thing i plan to buy with a stereo is a fitting kit

Halfords have correct cable just ask them and tell them what it's for and they'll point it out for it

Hi again, I finally gathered the courage today to do my stereo and I followed your steps however ended up with the stereo not powering on. I wanted to ask what color wire I have to cut to tie the ignition live in.
I have provided pictures of the radio book and wiring

Hard to see why it would work if followed to the t. There's two wires that control power. A yellow and a red. Have you swapped them over and tried?

If I recall the yellow one is what that gets cut to connect to ignition live...just make sure you don't cut the car harness only the harness you bought...
