Used the search but could not find the thread re the rattle sound from the rear trim around the pano roof, when closed, after 10 months, it has just started intermittently, as you would expect I could not replicate it at the dealer.

goes away when i tilt or just partially open it.

anyone else gotten to the bottom of it ?

About a year ago my dealer had my roof out in order to re-allign and grease it up. The rattling came back a few days following collection :( My car was in for a service a few weeks ago and I informed them about it again and I was told that this is becoming a very common issue, so much so that Audi have invented a special tool which allows greasing without the need to remove the roof now. They completed the procedure but again after a few days the rattle came back.

Yes mine rattles too, even after the same dealer procedure as DJAlix's had allegedly 'fixed' it. Another thread has suggested an application of Gummi Pflege on the rubber seals i.e. as recommended for the rattling windows (which I also have). I have not tried this yet but only because of lack of time at present. Eventually the rattles will get to me and I will do something about it if the car has not gone first..

Have the rattle on the windows but not noticed it on my roof (yet)

All sorted on my S3 and my wife's A1. Opened roof fully, cleaned the rubbers and surrounding area down to get rid of any trace of mucky and then sprayed the rubber with silicon spray easy on the front as its open, bit more difficult (but not impossible) on the rear of the rubber (as the roof is covering it, but there is a gap). Gave them both a good spraying (as both rattled very annoyingly) - that was 4 weeks ago, rattle has gone on both and hasn't returned on either (Murphy's law it will do it now I've said that of course!).

Gummy Pflege is what I use, works. Just a shame Audi cannot sort the issue.

the dealer initially did do a thorough clean and lube, and it was fine for 2-3 weeks then it came back again, so it looks like a regular thorough clean and lube then is required.

OH had the rattling pano roof issue on her A1. Eventually managed to replicate it at the dealer almost 3 years into ownership and was 'repaired' under warranty. Can't recall precisely what they replaced, but she had the car back for a couple of weeks without the roof screen etc whilst parts on back order were sourced. Been fine for the last 6 months.
