Help - Right Rear break light plastic screw ********

Hey guys

I wonder if you can help me out here, i need to replace my brake light on the right hand side.

I have an Audi A3 Sportback 2006 and the plastic nut holder is tightened so tight that i have completed destroyed it trying to turn it with the screwdriver.

I have tried using a socket set to get this off however it cant grip it enough to turn.

How can i get this off now?

I tired a 13 mm socket, but it seems to just go round and round without turning the bolt. Any other suggestions?

Torch to check the head as it's 100% that socket

im def using the correct socket as i took out the other side and it was fine.

Will i need to go extreme and remove the rear plastic panel on that side of the car in order to get better access to the bolt?

Its gripping the bolt, but because its plastic its tearing the plastic when i try to turn it.

Spray some penetrating oil into the recess, may help if the plastic nut is sticking. If it is cross threaded when previously installed drastic action required.

Try a 6 sided one

Thanks Lee, just went out and brought a six sided socket from Screwfix and got it out, crisis averted
